After her family forgets her 50th birthday, schoolteacher Nadia Naidyuk decides to change her life and leave her chauvinist husband Zenik and their children, Diana, a disillusioned actress, and Denys, who is seeking spiritual enlightenment. But her plans are complicated when Russian missiles explode in Ukraine and a full-scale invasion begins.
